This policy explains what information I collect through thejourneyquest.com, how I use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the website, email list, digital products, coaching services, community, and any other services offered through The Journey Quest.

Who I am

I'm Diane Gatto, trading as The Journey Quest, an Australian-based practitioner working in change, coaching, and symbolic modalities. I'm the person responsible for any personal information collected through this site. You can reach me at [your TJQ contact email] for any question relating to your data.

What I collect

Depending on how you interact with The Journey Quest, I may collect the following:

• Your name and email (when you join the mailing list, download a resource, or complete a quiz)

• Birth date, birth time, and birth location (when you request a reading, use one of the calculators, or enrol in a course involving natal-chart or numerology work)

• Payment information (when you purchase a digital product, coaching, or community membership — processed by Stripe or PayPal through Systeme.io; I don't store card details)

• Correspondence (when you email me or reply to a message)

• Course and community activity (participation in Heartbeat when you're enrolled)

• Basic website analytics (pages visited, general location, device type)

I don't collect health information, and I don't ask for anything sensitive beyond what's needed to provide the service you've requested.

Why I collect it

Your information is used to:

• Deliver the digital products, coaching, and community services you purchase or subscribe to

• Prepare readings, chart work, or numerology calculations you've requested

• Send writing, resources, and updates you've signed up to receive

• Respond when you contact me

• Improve how the site and services work

I don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or pass it to third parties for marketing.

Birth data and reading information

Birth details, chart calculations, and any personal information shared during a reading or coaching session are held in confidence. I use them only for the purpose you've provided them for. I don't share them, publish them, or use them for any other work without your explicit written consent — including for teaching, writing, or case studies. If I ever want to reference something from a session for educational purposes, I'll ask you first, and I'll anonymise it thoroughly.

How your information is stored

Different information lives in different systems:

• Website, email list, and payments: Systeme.io

• Course and community access: Heartbeat

• Correspondence: my email inbox

• Reading and coaching notes: my own secure files, not shared with any platform

Each of these providers acts as my data processor and stores information under their own security standards. Systeme.io and Heartbeat servers are located outside Australia. By using the site or its services, you consent to this international transfer.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies that Systeme.io needs to make the site work and to remember basic preferences. Basic analytics tell me which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from, but not who they are as individuals. I don't use tracking cookies for advertising. Your browser lets you decline cookies if you'd prefer.

Your rights

Wherever you're based, you have the right to:

• Ask what information I hold about you

• Ask me to correct anything that's wrong

• Ask me to delete your information (subject to any legal or contractual obligations)

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time

• Withdraw your consent

If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you additional rights, including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're in Australia, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

To exercise any of these rights, email me, and I'll respond within 30 days.

How long I keep your information

Mailing list: for as long as you're subscribed, plus a reasonable period after you unsubscribe.
Coaching and reading records: for seven years, in line with Australian professional practice.
Payment records: for seven years, in line with Australian tax law.
Community membership records: for the duration of your membership plus 12 months.

If you ask me to delete your information, I'll do so unless I'm legally required to keep it.

Data breaches

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is entirely secure. If a data breach happens that's likely to cause harm, I'll notify affected people and the relevant authorities in line with Australian and EU law.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, I'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, for anything significant, notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
